Track and Field Announces 2026 Indoor and Outdoor Schedules

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville Track and Field team announced its schedules for the upcoming indoor and outdoor seasons this Tuesday (Oct. 14). The Bulldogs will compete a minimum of 10 times across both seasons, traveling with the biggest roster the program has seen in recent history.

Asheville will open its 2026 indoor season at the UNC Asheville Collegiate Opener on Jan. 10, competing on the newly built indoor track at the Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Spring, North Carolina. The Bulldogs will return to the facility on Jan. 16-17 for the Tryon International Winter Invitational, and again on Feb. 13-14 for the Tryon International Collegiate Meet.
The Bulldogs will make a mid-season trip out of state for the Brant Tolsma Elite Invitational, which will be hosted by Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, Jan. 30-31.
The Bulldogs will return ot Tryon for the Big South Indoor Track & Field Championships, which will be hosted at the Tryon International Equestrian Center (Feb. 27-28).
Pending qualifiers, the team or individuals will travel to Fayetteville, Arkansas, to close out the indoor season at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships (March 13-14).

Asheville will kickstart its 2026 outdoor season by hosting the Big South Conference vs. Southern Conference Challenge (March 20-21) at the Karl Straus Track. The Bulldogs will then travel to High Point for the VertKlasse Meeting (April 24-25), before returning to home turf for the Asheville Bulldog Invite (April 24-25).
Asheville will close out its regular season at the Catamount Classic (April 24-25), on the campus of Western Carolina University, before returning to High Point University for the Big South Outdoor Track & Field Championships (May 11-13).
Pending qualifiers, Asheville's next stop after the Big South Championships will be Lexington, Kentucky, for the NCAA East First Round, and the National Championships site will be Eugene, Oregon.
