CHARLOTTE, N.C. -Â UNC Asheville senior goalkeeper Charlie Farrar has been named the Big South Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, announced by the league today (Monday, Aug. 26).

Charlie Farrar made three saves for his first win of the season, 11th in an Asheville uniform and 30th of his collegiate career as the Bulldogs took down Stetson 3-1 to start the 2024 campaign on Friday (Aug. 23).

This is Farrar's second career Big South Conference Defensive Player of the Week honor. He is a native of Wakefield, U.K.

The Bulldogs (1-0-0) return to the pitch tomorrow (Tuesday, Aug. 27) on the road at Virginia Tech. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m. from Blacksburg, Va., with video and live stats available at www.uncabulldogs.com.Â
