ASHEVILLE, N.C. – This past Monday and Tuesday (Aug. 19 & 20), the UNC Asheville Athletics Department hosted its annual Bulldog Club Golf Scholarship Classic at the Country Club of Asheville. Over the two days, the event raised over $100,000 for scholarships for Bulldog student-athletes.

"I want to extend a huge thank you to every person and business that participated in our annual golf tournament," UNC Asheville Director of Athletics Janet R. Cone said. "Every dollar we receive from this event goes directly to our athletic scholarship fund, which enhances our athletic department and allows our student-athletes to pursue their degree while playing the sports they love. Every person who had a part in giving to our golf fundraiser is making a difference in a Bulldog student-athlete's life, and I am so grateful for the outpouring of support from our friends. I would also like to extend another big thank you to our golf committee for all of their hard work on making this two-day event such a success."
