ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville Women's Swimming and Diving Team earned Scholar All-America Team honors from the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America for the Spring 2024 semester, recently announced by the organization. This is the 24th consecutive semester for Asheville to receive the recognition, all under head coach Elizabeth Lykins in her 12th season. In addition, Abby Parks and Caroline Crouse earned Second Team Scholar All-American honors.

"I am extremely proud of the effort this team commits to their academics," said Lykins. "The level of dedication to their studies is evident with this recognition for the 24th consecutive semester."

During the spring semester, a total of 722 teams from 417 institutions across NCAA Divisions I, II and III along with NJCAA and NAIA achieved the honor earning a team grade point average of at least 3.0 for the spring semester. Asheville was one of 563 teams earning a semester GPA of at least 3.30.

The entire Atlantic Sun Conference earned honors on both the men's and women's side in Asheville's first year in the league.

This is Parks's second career Scholar All-American honor. The Matthews, N.C. is a recent graduate of UNC Asheville.

Crouse holds three program records in the 200 IM, the 200 Free and the 200 Fly while earning a provisional NCAA B Cut earlier this season in the 200 Fly.
