Women's Swimming and Diving Named College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America Fall Scholar All-America Team

FULL COLLEGE SWIMMING & DIVING COACHES ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA RELEASE
ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville Women's Swimming and Diving Team earned Scholar All-America Team honors from the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America for the Fall 2023 semester, recently announced by the organization. This is the 23rd consecutive semester from the start of the program for Asheville to receive the recognition, all under head coach Elizabeth Lykins in her 12th season.
"This is the program's 23rd consecutive semester being named a Scholar All-America Team," said Lykins. "I am proud to lead a team with such dedication to their academics and athletic pursuits. Our first semester GPA of 3.66 is a strong showing amongst our ASUN Conference colleagues."
The entire Atlantic Sun Conference earned honors on both the men's and women's side, in Asheville's first year in the league.
"A big thank you to Rebecca Nelms and Dr. Jeff Wilcox for assisting all of our divers and swimmers in their academic pursuits," continued Lykins. "Their support allows our women to balance any major offered and participate in Division I athletics."Â
The Bulldogs (8-4, 2-0 ASUN) return to the pool Feb. 21-24 for the ASUN Championships. The event will be held at the Allan Jones Aquatic Center in Knoxville, Tenn., with tickets available for purchase and live streams available at www.uncabulldogs.com.
