UNC Asheville Athletics Announces Cancellation of Several Upcoming Events

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Due to the unprecedented events following Helene, the UNC Asheville Athletics Department has decided to cancel several upcoming athletic events. 

Canceled Events

  • Run Jump Throw (Oct. 19)
  • Hoops at Highland (Oct. 23)
  • Big South Conference Tennis Singles & Doubles Championships (Oct. 25-27)
  • French Broad Collegiate Invitational (Oct. 28-29)

Women's Golf will now travel to play in the Mercer Invitational Oct. 28-29. 

Hoops at Highland will be moved to December. More details to follow. 

The Big South Conference will announce the location of the Tennis Championships in the coming days. 

The Athletic Department is looking to reschedule Run Jump Throw. More details to follow.
