Brendan Herb Named Big South Conference Offensive Player of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - UNC Asheville senior midfielder Brendan Herb has been named the Big South Conference Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the league today (Tuesday, Sept. 5).
Herb helped Asheville to two consecutive wins last week, with the Bulldogs off to their best start since 1995. Herb tallied a goal and an assist in the 3-1 win over Queens (N.C.) on Friday (Sept. 1), before adding a helper in the 2-1 win over Evansville on Monday (Sept. 4).
This is Herb's first career Player of the Week honor. He is a native of Corvallis, Ore.
The Bulldogs (3-1-0) are back in action on Saturday (Sept. 9) against Georgia State for the annual "Be The Match" match. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m. from Greenwood Field, with video and live stats available at www.uncabulldogs.com.Â
