UNC Asheville Athletics to Host Annual Youth SportsFest

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville Athletics will host the third annual SportsFest presented by First Bank on Saturday, October 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Karl Straus Track. The event is free to children in grades 2-5.
The event, organized by the student assistant to the athletic director Alexis Walker, will provide area children with a fun, activity-filled morning. Activities will include running, jumping, throwing, relays, and other sporting events.
Asheville student-athletes and coaches will serve as "Bulldog Buddies" to allow youth to connect with and learn from current Bulldogs. Participants will be divided into smaller groups of six to eight people where they will rotate through various stations.
In the event of rain, SportsFest will take place on the Student Recreation Center Indoor Courts.
