SAAC Announces Executive Board for 2023-24 Academic Year

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) has announced its executive board for the 2023-24 school year today (Friday, July 21). 

Senior Sierra Cardi of the women's golf team will serve as SAAC president with volleyball junior Elle Thigpen serving as vice president. Rounding out the rest of the leadership team is women's track and field junior Mallory Haney (Secretary), baseball senior Bryce Fisher (Volunteer Coordinator), women's soccer junior Anna Doane (Creative Director), and McKinley Brooks-Sumpter and Jamon Battle of the women's and men's basketball teams will serve as Co-Diversity and Equity Officers. 

SAAC is a leadership group consisting of student-athletes representing all sports at UNC Asheville. The UNC Asheville SAAC provides insight into the student-athlete experience and offers input on the rules, regulations, and policies that affect student-athletes' lives. SAAC members serve as a conduit of communication among student-athletes, coaches, and athletic administrators in an effort to improve the student-athlete experience.
