ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Athletics and the Bulldog Athletics Association announced Tuesday the unveiling of "ALL IN", a comprehensive campaign aimed at raising capital funds to transform the outdoor sports facilities. The near $20 million campaign will provide critical funds that will significantly improve the student-athlete experience for eleven of the Bulldogs' 16 sports programs and their opportunity for competitive excellence. These projects are consistent with UNC Asheville's Master Facility Plan and UNC Asheville Athletics' commitment to developing engaging relationships with residents, community partners and local businesses.
"UNC Asheville Athletics is embarking on a journey to Dream Bigger. Achieve More," said Director of Athletics Janet R. Cone. "Our Outdoor Sports Complex, once complete, will position UNC Asheville for sustained excellence not only regionally, but nationally in NCAA Division I."
"We are inviting our generous alumni, community leaders, and friends to help make these dreams a reality and enhance the student-athlete experience for current and future Bulldogs."
The campaign includes several facility upgrades and renovations that are listed below, some of which are already underway due to a successful silent phase of campaign fundraising.
"We need facilities whose quality matches the caliber of our student-athletes' commitment, persistence, and success in the classroom, on the playing field, and in their high-impact practices like internships, research, and community service in which they participate," stated interim Chancellor Kimberly van Noort. "Your support is an investment in their future and the communities they will positively impact after graduation."
