Asheville Athletics Hosts Annual ASHPYS Award Ceremony

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Athletics hosted its annual ASHPYS award ceremony Saturday evening (Apr. 29) in Kimmel Arena.

The accolades and accomplishments of UNC Asheville student-athletes and teams throughout the 2022-23 season were celebrated all night, culminating in several awards being handed out to student-athletes representing several of Asheville's 16 NCAA Division I athletic teams.

"We have so much to celebrate both athletically and academically, as well as out in the community," said Director of Athletics Janet R. Cone.

"We are proving that UNC Asheville is a rising force within the Big South Conference and the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association, as well as rising to the occasion on the national level," said Student-Athlete Advisory Committee President and Women's Swimming and Diving student-athlete Meredith Bunting.
