Cross Country Earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Awards

NEW ORLEANS – The UNC Asheville cross country teams were recently recognized for their work in the classroom as both programs earned the distinction of an All-Academic Team by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period. Asheville's women's team finished the fall semester with a 3.52 grade point average, while the men's team posted a GPA of 3.36.
Furthermore, it marks the 13th time that the women's team has earned this honor and the 12th time for the men's program. Both teams have earned this accolade in each of the past four years.
