CHARLOTTE, N.C. - UNC Asheville junior defender Myles Edmondson has been named the Big South Conference Defensive Player of the Week, announced by the league today (Monday, Oct. 9).
Edmondson assisted on Asheville's first goal in a 2-2 draw at Gardner-Webb Friday night (Oct. 6) in Big South Conference action, playing 73 minutes on the back line. The helper was his second of the season.
This is Edmondson's first career Player of the Week honor. He is a native of Oldham, Manchester, United Kingdom.
The Bulldogs (6-3-2, 1-1-1) are back on the pitch on Saturday (Oct. 14) against Radford for Senior Day. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m. from Greenwood Field, with video and live stats available at www.uncabulldogs.com.
