Highland Brewing to Host UNC Asheville Basketball Tip-Off Celebration October 19

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Highland Brewing, Asheville's original brewery, will be hosting a UNC Asheville Basketball Tip-Off Celebration next Thursday (Oct. 19) at 6:00 pm in their main taproom. The event is free and open to the public.
Fans will have the opportunity to meet and greet with UNC Asheville players and coaches from both the men's and women's teams. There will also be a select number of Bulldog t-shirts and basketball season tickets given away to attendees. Â
In addition, Highland will have a special "Bulldog Brew" lager on tap at the event, with a portion of the sales proceeds from that beer going to support UNC Asheville Athletics.
"We look forward to spending time with our Bulldog fans at Highland Brewing next week," said Director of Athletics Janet R. Cone. "We are excited to get the season underway and see our teams in action in Kimmel Arena."
"We always love featuring UNC Asheville, our local university, at Highland," added Highland Brewing President & CEO Leah Wong Ashburn. "In particular, Bulldog student-athletes should be celebrated for their dual commitment to both sports and education."
The 2023-24 season begins for both teams on Tuesday (Nov. 7), with men's basketball at Michigan and women's basketball at Furman.
