BIG SOUTH RELEASE

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South Conference unveiled its 2022 Preseason Men's Soccer Coaches' Poll on Tuesday afternoon.

The Bulldogs, led by second-year Head Coach Mick Giordano, were picked to finish ninth in the poll with a point total of 19 points. Campbell, which won the Big South's Regular Season and Tournament Championships a season ago, were picked to repeat as the league's top team in 2022 collecting eight of the nine first-place votes and 80 points overall.

The 2022 Bulldogs will have several new faces on the pitch this fall. Overall, Giordano and his coaching staff brought in 17 newcomers in the offseason. Seven of the 17 newcomers come to Asheville with previous collegiate playing experience to go along with the 10 freshmen.

Among the returners for the Bulldogs are Conor Behan and Jake Kemhadjian. Behan led Asheville in points scored in 2021 with seven (two goals, three assists), while Kemhadjian paced the team with four assists to go with a goal of his own.
