Solomon McDonald Named Co-Big South Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South Conference announced on Wednesday that Solomon McDonald of the UNC Asheville track & field team had been named the Co-Big South Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.
McDonald matched the UNC Asheville indoor school record in the shot put at last weekend's John Weaver Invitational with a mark of 18.28-meters. The record, which McDonald broke last season, ranks fourth on the Conference's all-time indoor list in the shot put.
In addition to his work in the shot put, McDonald also placed fifth in the men's weight throw with a toss of 15.33-meters.
McDonald and the rest of the Bulldogs will resume their indoor season in early January.
