McIver and Miller Receive College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. - UNC Asheville men's soccer senior midfielder David McIver and senior defender Dominic Miller have received Academic All-District honors by College Sports Communicators, announced by the organization today (Tuesday, Nov. 15).
To receive Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must have been at their institution for at least one calendar year, played in at least 50 percent of their team's contests and maintain at least a cumulative 3.50 grade point average.
McIver appeared in 14 matches including four starts. McIver started in the matches against Belmont, Furman, Wofford and Presbyterian He tallied one assist at Radford for one point on the season and played a season-high 48 minutes against Belmont.Â
This is McIver's first career Academic All-District honor. The Goldsboro, N.C. native holds a 3.92 grade point average in management.
Miller appeared in 14 matches, making five starts as a senior He started against Belmont, Queens, Winthrop, Radford and USC Upstate while registering shots in the matches against UNC Greensboro, Queens, Radford and USC Upstate. Miller played all 90 minutes on four occasions against Belmont, Winthrop, Radford and USC Upstate.
This is Miller's first career Academic All-District honor. The Charlotte, N.C. native holds a 3.77 grade point average in Management with a minor in Spanish.
Both McIver and Miller move on to be voted on for College Sports Communicators Academic All-America® honors.
