ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The month of September meant UNC Asheville Athletics was back in full swing, as men's and women's soccer, men's and women's cross country and volleyball all got into the bulk of their respective seasons. There were a lot of notable performances along the way, so make sure to look at the nominations below and vote for your September "Bulldog of the Month," presented by Zaxby's!

Men's Cross Country – John Ciprich – Junior – Monroe, N.C.
- Posted the highest finish of any Bulldog during their first two races of the 2021 fall season
- Placed 31st at the Covered Bridge Open with a time of 26:21.57 before finishing 13th at the Fire Tower Open with a time of 26:32.55
- Wincheski has logged a pair of top-10 finishes in Asheville's two races in September (5th, 7th)
- Named the Big South Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week on September 9. It marked the fourth time Wincheski has earned this honor, which is the most of any Bulldog in program history
- Has broken the program's 5k record not once but twice in September with her latest record-breaking time being 17:36.06 at the Fire Tower Open on September 17
- Totaled one goal, seven shots with five on frame in five games played
- Scored second goal of season against College of Charleston with two shots on frame
- Started four of five games in September, 6 of 7 on the season
- Leads team in points (5), tied for team lead in goals (2)
- Started 6 of 7 games, scoring two goals on 10 total shots
- Scored two goals in less than eight minutes in win at Hampton
- Totaled four shots on frame in September with a shots on goal percentage of .462
- Totaled 110 minutes in two victories over Hampton, USC Upstate and 362 for the month
- Second on the team in points (5) and goals (2)
- Paced the Bulldogs in kills (87), kills per set (3.00), attacks (266), aces (6) in the month of September, while ranking second in digs (73)
- Garnered All-Tournament team honors at the Aggie/Phoenix Volley for Unity event in mid-September
- Posted three double-doubles this month
- Logged a season-high 19 kills to go along with 11 digs vs. North Carolina A&T
- Hit an impressive .421 with 18 kills and 10 digs in a 3-0 victory over North Carolina Central
