Women's Basketball unveils its 2021-22 non-conference schedule

2021-22 WOMEN'S BASKETBALL NON-CONFERENCE SCHEDULE
ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville Head Women's Basketball Coach Honey Brown announced her team's non-conference schedule for the upcoming 2021-22 season on Wednesday. The Bulldogs are slated to play four non-league games at Kimmel Arena this year, along with seven road games that includes a December 12 trip to North Carolina.
"I am excited for the opportunity to play a full non-conference schedule this season," Brown said. "It is always great to play regional teams for rivalries and for our fans. Those teams play various styles, which help us for conference play. Even better this year, we get a chance to play UNC. I can't wait to get going!"
Asheville will tip off its season with back-to-back road games against UNC Greensboro (Nov. 9) and Western Carolina (Nov. 12). Following those two matchups, the Bulldogs will open their home schedule on November 15 when they host Mars Hill at Kimmel Arena.
After the brief pit stop home, the Bulldogs will make short trips to Southern Conference schools Furman (Nov. 20) and Wofford (Nov. 23).
The Bulldogs will play back-to-back home games on November 28 when they welcome Appalachian State to town before hosting Warren Wilson on December 1 as part of the team's annual Education Day.
Three of Asheville's final four non-Big South games will be away from Kimmel Arena. First, the Bulldogs will make the short journey to East Tennessee State on December 10 before traveling to Chapel Hill, N.C., on December 12 to take on North Carolina. Asheville will host Austin Peay on December 16 before closing out the non-league schedule on December 20 at Chattanooga. Â
