Volleyball Announces the Addition of Nina Finderle

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville Head Volleyball Coach Frederico Santos announced the addition of Nina Finderle (Umag, Croatia) to his program's 2021 recruiting class on Thursday. Finderle joins Carley Modlin as the newest Bulldogs that are set to join the team on the court this fall.

Finderle is coming to Asheville after playing two seasons at Polk State College in Florida.
She helped her team finish seventh and fourth in the NJCCAA National Tournament.
Overall, she appeared in 56 matches during her two-year stay at Polk State, racking up 136 kills and 155 blocks.
A former member of the Croatian national team, Finderle helped her squad win a national championship in 2016. Helped her squad finish second in 2017 and 2018.
She participated at the School World Championship in Belgrade, where she represented her school and country.

"We are excited to announce the addition of Nina Finderle to the class of 2021," said Santos. "Nina is a middle blocker and right side from Croatia. Nina is a tremendous blocker with an incredibly quick arm swing. We look for her to make an immediate impact on our program and be one of the best middles in the Big South."
