Tyree McFalling receives Outstanding Performance Award

ASHEVILLE – UNC Asheville track and field student-athlete Tyree McFalling recently received the Outstanding Performance Award in Economics. This award is given to the Economics student at UNC Asheville who had the best overall performance, as selected by the faculty.
McFalling, who boasts a 3.90 grade-point average, is set to graduate this week with an undergraduate degree in economics.
He also had a stellar season on the track for the Bulldogs, notching several top 10 finishes in six events during the indoor season. The Wentworth, N.C. native won the 400m at the Buccaneer Invitational and helped the Bulldog 4x400m relay team win a conference championship at the Big South Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships. He also set a new personal-best time in the 300m run with a time of 35.25 at the Appalachian Open Indoor Meet in early December.
