UNC Asheville Volleyball Adds Cristiny to 2020 Signing Class

ASHEVILLE – UNC Asheville head volleyball coach Frederico Santos announced the signing of junior college transfer Camilly Cristiny to the 2020 class.

Cristiny, a native of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, joins the Bulldogs as a junior after playing her first two seasons at Missouri State – West Plains. She becomes the sixth signee in the class of 2020.

During her two seasons in junior college, Cristiny racked up 673 kills, 451 digs, 132 total blocks and 781.5 points while being named to the All-Region First-Team each season.

In her freshman season, Cristiny earned distinction as the Missouri Community College Athletic Association Freshman of the Year and Second-Team All-MCCAA honors after posting 360 kills, 226 digs, 46 total blocks and 401 points.

Cristiny followed up her breakout rookie performance with 313 kills, 225 digs, 86 total blocks and 380.5 points while helping the Grizzlies to the Region 16 title as a sophomore.

Santos on Cristiny: "Camilly is a great addition to the volleyball program. She is a talented six-rotation outside hitter who is energetic and exciting, possesses great ball control and leads well on the floor. We are very excited to welcome Camilly to the Bulldog Family!"
