Men’s Soccer Unveils Spring Schedule

ASHEVILLE – UNC Asheville's men's soccer team will compete in the Southeast Challenge – an eight-team tournament – as part of its spring schedule, beginning Friday, February 21.
The Southeast Challenge features eight regional teams separated into two divisions. The teams in each division will play each other once, and the leaders of each division after the round-robin will play for the tournament championship, set for April 4.
The Bulldogs will compete in the North division, which features Big South Conference rival USC Upstate, as well as Appalachian State and East Tennessee. Asheville opens the spring schedule at Greenwood Field against USC Upstate in a 6 p.m. showdown, Friday, February 21.
The following weekend, the Bulldogs will travel to ETSU for a Saturday, February 29 matchup. They will close out the round-robin portion of the event Saturday, March 28, at Appalachian State.
The other teams participating in the Southeast Challenge and competing in the South Division are Georgia State, Georgia Southern, Mercer and UAB.
In between the ETSU and Appalachian State matches, the Bulldogs will host Mars Hill at Greenwood Field in a noon contest set for Saturday, March 21. Asheville will close out the spring slate with its Alumni Game. A date and kickoff time will be announced at a later date.
All home matches at Greenwood Field are FREE and open to the public.
