Volleyball Set to Host UNC Asheville Invitational

ASHEVILLE – The Justice Center is set for a busy couple of days as UNC Asheville's volleyball team plays host to Dartmouth, Eastern Kentucky and North Carolina A&T in the UNC Asheville Invitational, Friday and Saturday.
The Bulldogs opened their season last weekend at the Georgia Tech Invitational, sweeping Southern to kick off the event. They fell in a tightly-contested five-set match against Long Beach State and went toe-to-toe with the host Yellow Jackets in three sets in the final match of the event.
The Bulldogs will take the floor for the first time, 6:30 p.m., Friday, against Eastern Kentucky. The Colonels enter the event with a 1-2 record after competing down the road in the Charlotte Invitational last weekend. They fell to Kent State, 3-0, and to the host 49ers, 3-1, but defeated Gardner-Webb, 3-1.
Saturday's action for the Bulldogs begins at 12:30 p.m. when they face off against North Carolina A&T. The Aggies enter the weekend at 0-3 after being swept by Morehead State, Winthrop and Davidson at the Cristi Curtis Volleyball Invitational, hosted by Winthrop.
The Bulldogs will close out the event when they take on Dartmouth at 6:30 p.m. The UNC Asheville Invitational will serve as the season opener for the Big Green.
General admission tickets for both days are $15 and $10 for faculty/staff, senior citizens and children (5-17). Single-day tickets are $10 each and $8 for Faculty/staff, senior citizens and children. Tickets can be purchased at the gate, or they can be purchased in advance HERE or by calling (828) 258-7900.
Fans can purchase the All-Sports Pass, which includes tickets for every men's and women's soccer, volleyball, men's and women's basketball, and baseball event on campus. Reserved seating for the All-Sport Pass is $300 while General Admission seating is $175, which are both less than $4 per game. Fans also have the option to purchase the Fall Sports Package that includes entry into every volleyball and men's and women's soccer match for $75.
Friday evening's match against EKU will be live streamed via ESPN+ HERE, and fans can follow the action from all six matches via live stats HERE.
