UNC Asheville Men’s and Women’s Track & Field Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Honors

NEW ORLEANS – Both the UNC Asheville men's and women's track & field teams earned All-Academic Team honors for the 2018-19 NCAA Division I Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field seasons by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The USTFCCCA released the All-Academic Teams on Monday, July 22, 2019. To earn the honors a team must have a 3.00 cumulative team grade-point average.
The UNC Asheville women's track & field team closed out the 2018-19 academic year with a 3.245 GPA, while the men closed out the year with a 3.001 GPA.
Both the UNC Asheville men's and women's track & field teams also earned the 2019 Big South Outdoor Track & Field Team Sportsmanship Awards.
The UNC Asheville women's track & field was also awarded as the 2019 Big South Indoor Track & Field Sportsmanship winner. The UNC Asheville women's cross country team was chosen as the recipient of the 2018 Big South Women's Cross Country Sportsmanship Award.
