Boone Finishes Seventh in Men’s 10k To Open Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Distance runners Zach Boone and Graham Parker opened the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational for UNC Asheville track and field, as Boone finished seventh in a 28-person field in the 10,000m to lead the duo.

Highlights

Boone earned a top-10 finish for the Bulldogs, as the senior clocked a 33:04.93. He finished seventh overall. He was under 30 seconds away from jumping to the top 5 with his time. 

Parker also raced in the event, and he placed 14th overall with a 34:12.13 time. 

What's Next?

Friday will feature 31 total events in the three-day meet. The first events on Saturday will be the men's hammer and women's javelin at 10 a.m.
