Offensive Attack
Ten different Bulldogs have scored at least one goal so far this season, with junior Tyson Hichman leading the way with four. His goal in the home opener against VMI proved to be the game-winner.
Sophomore Nate Evans had a strong start to league play, scoring the game winner in each of the first two Saturday road conference matches. His goal against USC Upstate proved to be the only one of the match, and he scored the first of three for the Bulldogs against Winthrop, October 5.
As a team, the Bulldogs scored three goals at home against High Point, October 2, in a 4-3 defeat before taking down Winthrop, 3-0. It was the first time since 2010 the Bulldogs had scored three goals in consecutive games.
In addition to Hichman and Evans, Izaiah Vignali, Kyle Adams, Colin Daughtry, Frank Morales, Andrew Rossetti, Noe Varner, Tanner Gilliam and Dino Dziergas have each recorded a goal for the Bulldogs, while Adams leads the team with three assists.
Scouting the Lancers
Longwood is 5-9 on the season, but has yet to secure a victory in Big South play, going 0-6 so far. The Lancers are coming off an 8-0 defeat at the hands of league-leader Campbell on the road, Monday.
