Bulldogs Complete Day Two at Liberty with Multiple Impressive Finishes

LYNCHBURG, Va. – UNC Asheville swim and dive put together an impressive second day of events during their dual meet versus Liberty on Saturday. The Bulldogs outscored the Flames in the day two events but ultimately fell 203-134.
Skylar Rogan secured nine points for the Bulldogs by claiming a first place finish with the top spot in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 17:15.17. Aleta Jewell finished third in the event with a time of 19:10.39.
Adee Weller claimed the number two spot in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:55.94. Skylar Rogan and Bela Stuart Vieira finished the event .09 seconds apart with Rogan completing a time of 1:58.21 and Stuart Vieira with a finish of 1:58.30.
Catherine Allen claimed four points for the Bulldogs by securing the second place spot in the 100 butterfly with a time of 58.93.
Jessica Brock set another UNC Asheville diving record, this time in the one meter dive, with a score of 171.98. Megan Almond also competed in the event and finished with a score of 118.43.
UNC Asheville claimed nine points in the 200 IM by finishing with the second, third and fourth fastest times. Madison Rogan led the Bulldogs with a time of 2:13.34 and Ellis Nelson was right behind with a time of 2:16.67. Christina Marshall was the third fastest Bulldog in the event with a time of 2:17.21.
UNC Asheville's Relay A took the top spot in the 4x50 freestyle relay. The Bulldog quartet of Jessie Frank, Delaney Carlton, Adee Weller and Nora Segurola Larrinaga finished with the fastest time in the event at 1:39.08.

Madison Rogan secured nine points for the Bulldogs by claiming the top spot in the 400 IM with a season best time of 4:38.74. Ellis Nelson added to the Bulldogs point total in the event with a fourth place finish with a time of 4:48.55.
UNC Asheville claimed another nine points in the 200 butterfly by securing the second, third and fourth place spots. Catherine Allen took the number two spot with a time of 2:07.34, while Madison Rogan took the third spot with a time of 2:09.90. Anna Nabors finished with a time 2:15.65 and a fourth place finish.
Jessica Brock set a new UNC Asheville school and freshman diving record, and a new personal best, with a score of 158.25 in the three meter dive.
Skylar Rogan and Catherine Allen claimed the third and fourth place spots in the 500 freestyle. Rogan finished with a time of 5:08.88 and Allen secured a time of 5:14.14.
Delaney Carlton took home a third place finish in the 50 freestyle with a time 24.39. That time was less than a half second off of the first place competitor.
Bela Stuart Vieira finished a second off of the top spot in the 100 freestyle with a third place finish and a time of 53.68.
Ellis Nelson claimed a fourth place finish in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:31.49.
What's Next?
The Bulldogs will return home for a dual meet versus CCSA rival Georgia Southern on November 1-2. The diving portion of the meet will take place at 4 p.m., Friday, November 1, at the Jewish Community Center. The swimming portion of the meet will take place at 12 p.m., Saturday, November 2, at the Buncombe County Schools Aquatic Center.
