Quotable
"It's always exciting with the first meet to kind of see where we are and the canvas we have to paint with this year," UNC Asheville cross country head coach Jesse Norman said. "For us, it's really just a real big intro back into racing for our upperclassmen and an intro to college racing for our freshmen. It's always a really good place to open up."

With its fourth place finish as a team at the Big South Cross Country Championship, UNC Asheville women's cross country has now finished in the top-6 every year since 2012. The Bulldogs finished third in 2013, and Asheville has finished fourth as a team in two of the last three years (2015 and 2017).
