Nichols Tabbed Co-Scholar-Athlete of the Year and Member of Indoor Track and Field All-Academic Team

LYNCHBURG, Va. – UNC Asheville sprinter Kayli Nichols was tabbed Co-Scholar-Athlete of Year and a member of the Women's Indoor Track and Field All-Academic Team.
The announcement was made following the conclusion of the Big South Indoor Championships on Saturday.
Nichols is a double-major in German and Political Science, and she is also minoring in Spanish at UNC Asheville. She currently sports a 3.971 cumulative grade-point average. The senior owns top-five times in school history in indoor track and field in 200 meters, 400 meters, 800 meters, 60 meter hurdles (first), 4 x 400m relay (first) and 500 meters (first). The Raleigh, N.C. native was chosen to Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field All-Academic Teams last season.
To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, the student-athlete must hold at least a 3.30 cumulative GPA and must be of at least sophomore status at the institution. The student-athlete must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's competition as well.
