LaCasto Chosen to Big South Men’s Soccer All-Academic Team for Second Straight Year

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – For the second consecutive season, UNC Asheville's Joe LaCasto has been chosen to the Big South Men's Soccer All-Academic Team.
The league office made the official announcement on Friday, Nov. 2, 2018.
A two-time team captain, LaCasto was a four-year starter for the UNC Asheville men's soccer team.
As a freshman he finished his season with one goal in 16 starts. His sophomore season he saw action in all 19 games and finished his season with one assist.
In the 2017 season, LaCasto was chosen as the Bulldog Award winner for men's soccer after a junior campaign that saw him garner All-Academic honors from the Big South Conference. He finished the season leading the team with two goals.
This season, LaCasto logged a team second-best 1,410 minutes. He started and played in all 17 matches and had four points on a goal and two assists.
