10.12.2018 | Men's Soccer
RADFORD, Va. - UNC Asheville men's soccer will next travel to Radford to battle the Highlanders at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13.
The match will be streamed live on ESPN+.
BULLDOG BITES
Quotable
"Radford is a good team and they are starting to find their form," UNC Asheville men's soccer head coach Mathes Mennell said. "They've played a really challenging schedule and they had a great result beating No. 16 Charlotte the other night and Charlotte is really good. We've got a really great opportunity to play against a team that is traditionally one of the powerhouses in the Big South.
"We're looking forward to it and I think everyone is aware that we've got to win and get a whole lot of help in very specific fashion for things to work out our way. I think that really focuses our team and we continue to build on the positive parts of the performances we've had the last couple of weeks, but instead of spreading those performances out, it's important that we put that together into a 90-minute performance."
Finding the Back of the Net
UNC Asheville's Taylor Durall leads the team in both goals (three) and points (seven). Izaiah Vignali is right behind Durall with five points on two goals and one assist. Lane Carroll has two goals on the season for the Bulldogs. In total, eight Bulldogs have scored this season with Luiz Felipe Dantas, Colin Daughtry, Brendan O'Dowd, Nate Evans and Joe LaCasto each scoring once for UNC Asheville (1-10-2, 0-5-0 Big South) this season.
First of the Year
Joe LaCasto's goal for the Bulldogs at Presbyterian College was his first of the season. He now has four points on the 2018 campaign on one goal and two assists.
