Welcome Back
Former UNC Asheville men's soccer student-athlete and assistant coach Mick Giordano returns to Greenwood Field as an assistant coach at Wofford. Giordano was on the Wake Forest staff last season. The Demon Deacons advanced all the way to the NCAA College Cup finals before falling to Stanford in the national title game.

Thoughts on Wofford
"Wofford's a great game for us. We have a lot respect for Coach Polson. Obviously, it's a game with a lot of local flavor with some Asheville guys on Wofford's team and with Mick Giordano now on staff there. Coach Polson does it the right way and for anyone that follows soccer in the Carolinas, Ralph Polson has his fingerprints all over its success. It's an awesome game for us, and it's an important game too as we head into conference." – Head Coach Mathes Mennell

Quotable
"I thought we were excellent against UNCG and Wofford is another tough Southern Conference team, so it should be a really good game. It will be a great sports day here on campus at UNC Asheville with volleyball opening the conference season after us at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, and for us to be able to kick start the day it will be great, especially welcoming ABYSA and HFC and at the same time doing a food drive for Manna Food Bank. It should be a good occasion and it should be a really good game." – Head Coach Mathes Mennell

Doubleheader Deal
For those that would like to attend the volleyball match against Gardner-Webb after the men's soccer match, admisison is free to the volleyball with the purchase of a men's soccer ticket.
