05.13.2017 | General

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – For UNC Asheville student-athletes the Pursuit of Greatness always includes earning a degree, and for 35 Bulldogs that became a reality on Saturday, May 13, 2017.

The core mission of UNC Asheville athletics is for its student-athletes to be not only champions in athletics, but also leaders in life, and the 35 student-athletes fully took advantage of their opportunity to thrive in their athletic and academic endeavors by officially graduating from UNC Asheville as part of the May 2017 Commencement Ceremonies.

UNC Asheville Director of Athletics Janet R. Cone is incredibly thankful for all that the 35 student-athletes have done during their time at the university, and she could not be more proud of their efforts in earning their degrees.

"The 35 graduating UNC Asheville student-athletes truly embody what it means to be a Bulldog," Cone said. "All of the individuals have worked incredibly hard in all areas in working toward their degrees. I am forever thankful that they chose to become Bulldogs, and speaking for the entire athletic department we wish them a great deal of future success."
