JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - The UNC Asheville men's and women's track and field teams completed day two of the three-day Buccaneer Track and Field Invitational Friday afternoon.

The afternoon concluded with senior Phoebe Schneider finishing 10th with a time of 18:56.81 in the women's 5000 meters for Asheville.

BULLDOG BITES
FAMILIAR LOCATION: UNC Asheville's squads are no strangers to competing in Johnson City. In fact, the Bulldogs competed there to kick off their 2017 indoor season in the ETSU Track & Field Invitational.

BREAKING RECORDS: Junior Kayli Nichols maintained her solid start to the season, setting the fourth-best 200 meter time for the program. Nichols also turned in a pair of strong performances last weekend, establishing school bests in both the 60 meter hurdles and the 500 meter dash.

RUNNING HARD(ING): Matthew Harding continued his early collegiate success last weekend at the Darius Dixon Invitational with another top-five finish in the 400 meter dash. Harding had two top-three finishes the previous weekend as well, one in the 500 meter dash and another in the 1000 meter run.

UP NEXT:  Following this weekend's competition, the Bulldog men and women will travel to Huntington, W. Va., to compete in the Chipotle Marshall Invitational next weekend, Feb. 10-11.
