Biltmore Farms Hotels and UNC Asheville Truly Have a Tremendous Partnership

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – It is a partnership that both parties truly enjoy.
Biltmore Farms Hotels (DoubleTree by Hilton Asheville-Biltmore • Hilton Asheville Biltmore Park • Residence Inn Biltmore • Hampton Inn & Suites Biltmore Village – opening in Spring 2017) and UNC Asheville have been working together for quite some time.
In fact, the current partnership is one that dates back to when Athletics Director Janet R. Cone joined UNC Asheville in 2004.
"We have developed a strong relationship with UNC Asheville that spans over 10 years," Biltmore Farms Vice President for Hospitality Ronald J. Storto said. "The partnership aligns with our company's tenants and mission and has created a wonderful combination for everyone's benefit. Our partnership with UNC Asheville not only allows us to be involved on campus, but we enjoy hosting the university's fans and opponents at our properties throughout the year."
Biltmore Farms Hotels is not just committed to helping athletics at UNC Asheville though as they have also helped in other areas like working with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI).
Over the years, Biltmore Farms Hotels has contributed close to $300,000 to UNC Asheville.
In addition, it has been somewhat of a family atmosphere between UNC Asheville and Biltmore Farms Hotels as Storto's daughter was an intern in the athletics department and Lauren McDevitt, wife of UNC Asheville men's basketball head coach Nick McDevitt, is presently the Biltmore Farms Hotels Director of Marketing.
Cone is incredibly thankful for all that Biltmore Farms Hotels has done over the years for UNC Asheville athletics and the institution in general.
"The Biltmore Farms Hotel Group, particularly Ron Storto and Lauren McDevitt, has been with us since my arrival on campus and was actually one of the first corporate sponsorships that we initiated," Cone said. "They have not only provided us with great customer service at the hotel properties, supported us at special events and provided scholarship dollars, but they also allowed us to use them as an example with other corporate sponsors to show how this partnership has not only thrived and continued to be a win-win for the institution."
Recently, Storto and Biltmore Farms Hotels presented UNC Asheville with a $22,720 check during the 72-56 UNC Asheville men's basketball win over Campbell on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017.
The check presentation allowed all of the Bulldog fans to thank Biltmore Farms Hotels for all that they do for UNC Asheville.
For Storto once again it just was another reminder of an "awesome partnership."
"It really makes a lot of sense for us to be involved," Storto said. "It's money well spent."
