CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) tabbed UNC Asheville swimmer Morgan Rulevich as the Swimmer of the Week on Tuesday afternoon following her performance in the Bulldogs' first-ever team victory over Georgia Southern.

The junior from Lake Wylie, S.C. led the Bulldogs to their first-ever team victory over Georgia Southern (155-107). The 48-point team victory over the Eagles marked the first head-to-head victory over Georgia Southern. The previous closest meet with the Eagles was a 17-point defeat (141-124) in Statesboro, Ga. during the 2014-15 season.

This past weekend, Rulevich won three individual events and placed second in the 400 freestyle relay. Highlighting her meet was breaking the school record in the 100 freestyle. In the first leg of the 400 freestyle relay, Rulevich posted a 51.60. She was 0.02 seconds faster than the previous school record, which she also owned.

Rulevich won her first event in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:05.16. After sitting out one event (eight minutes of rest), she jumped back in the pool and won the 50 freestyle with a time of 24.04. To cap off the individual victories, the Lake Wylie native won her second breaststroke event of the meet – the 200 breaststroke. She claimed the top spot with a 2:21.56, which bested second place by over two and a half seconds.

She along with Jessica Woolfe, Adee Weller and Alejandra Sanchez Garcia placed second in the 400 freestyle relay with a 3:34.43.

With her three victories and a second place finish, Rulevich gave UNC Asheville 31 team points, which was 20 percent of the team's total points.

This was the second time in UNC Asheville's history to garner the Swimmer of the Week award. Skylar Rogan earned the program's first-ever accolade last season.
