CHARLOTTE, N.C.– The UNC Asheville Women's Swimming team completed day one of their two-day meet with Queens, Davidson and George Washington. The Bulldogs will return to action for day two tomorrow in Davidson N.C.

 

NOTABLES

- Skylar Rogan earned the Bulldog's highest finish of the session of second in the 1000 free with time of 10:38.16.

 

- Morgan Rulevich earned fourth place points in two events, both the 50 free and the 100 breaststroke, with times of 24.63 and 1:06.62 respectively.

 

-Junior, Emily Werth swam one of the fastest in-season times of her career with a third place finish in the 100 back, 59.82.

 

-The final event of the evening was the 800 free relay. The Bulldog A squad made up of Skylar Rogan (2:00.37) Catherine Allen (1:59.70), Morgan Rulevich (1:56.10) and Adee Weller (1:58.77) finished fourth with a time of 7:54.94.

”The team did a great job getting up and racing this afternoon. We were competitive in all of our races and even set a freshmen record in the 200y butterfly. Shout out to freshmen, Catherine Allen, for breaking a record in her first collegiate meet and with a third place finish, 2:08.07.
