ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville men's soccer team hosts the Georgia State University Panthers at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at Greenwood Field.

NOTABLES:

Last Time Out: The Bulldogs faced wet field conditions and a tough ETSU Buccaneer squad in Johnson City on Sunday night, losing 1-0 while being outshot 23-7. UNC Asheville goalkeeper Chris Katt added six saves to his Big South Conference-leading total.

Scouting Georgia State: The Panthers played great defense in their last match, holding Presbyterian College to zero shots on goal in a 2-0 home victory. The Panthers are led in scoring by sophomore midfielder Hannes Burmeister of Germany, who has seven goals on 15 shots this year.

Home Pitch: The Panthers defeated UNC Asheville last year in Atlanta by a 3-0 score. But, at Greenwood Field, the Bulldogs have produced much better results, winning four of their six matches at home last year, and winning their only home match so far this year. All three of Georgia State's losses this year have come on the road.

QUOTABLES:

"We're really excited to play at home under the lights of Greenwood Field against a really good Georgia State team. We're looking forward to continuing our process after a string of good performances; our win at home against UNC Greensboro and a solid match for us at ETSU. Playing at home in front of our fans is obviously something that our players love and we can't wait for another opportunity to play." - Head Coach Mathes Mennell
