CHARLOTTE, N.C.- UNC Asheville men's cross country runner, Dominic Collichio has been named the Big South Conference men's cross country Runner of the Week for the second consecutive week, the League announced today.

Following his victory at Western Carolina on September 1, the red-shirt junior from Carrboro, N.C. defended his individual title with another first place finish at the UNC Asheville Invitational this past weekend.

“We are proud of Dom earning ROW honors again.  I believe it just goes to show how much he has progressed from years past.  We are excited that he has been able to win a couple of races and earn this honor twice.  This should continue to help with him believing that he is one of the top runners in the conference,” said head Coach Jesse Norman.

Collichio's captured a win on his home course with an 8k time of 26:25.73, he was almost a full 10 seconds ahead of King University's Tanner Cook, who finished second with a time of 26:34.30.

After a short break from competition, Collichio and the Bulldogs will be back in action on their home course of Asheville Christian Academy on Saturday, October 1.
