What is your favorite part about UNC Asheville?
I love our small campus! You can wake up 10 minutes before class and still won't be late!
What are your post-school plans?
I'm not quite sure yet.. I'll most likely stick around Asheville for at least another year to work and do nature things I've wanted to do but haven't quite gotten around to.
Why did you choose Asheville?
Asheville itself is such a fun city, and I really loved the atmosphere of the team when I came on my recruiting visit. A city in the middle of the mountains with amazing food, what's not to love?
How long have you been running?
I used to occasionally run with my dad when I was younger, but I started actually running cross country my freshman year of high school. It should also be noted I almost quit XC during my first summer training.
Who has been your biggest influence on the track?
My loving parents. Shout out to my dad for always trying to outrun me when I was younger, I must have gotten my speed from you. Shout out to my mom for always reminding me to keep my head straight when I'm racing.
What are three things you can't live without?
Pizza, my camera, and my groovy tunes.
(Or my freshman boys, Jacob, Dom and Nathan)
What's your favorite food?
Pizza
What nicknames do you have?
Kitty, The gambler
Do you have a favorite class you've taken here?
NM 101 Digital Design principles. This class actually scared me away from my major at first because of the amount of time I realized the projects take.. but then I came back to it because I love it.
When I'm not on the course/ track, I am…
Probably taking a nap, taking a hike or taking pictures.
What are you most looking forward to this season?
Lots of home meets!
What's something most people may not know about you?
I'm kind of a shopaholic..
Do you have a favorite place you've visited?
The Grand Canyon/Arizona, I'm a sucker for succulents.
