#14 Days 'Till Bulldog Volleyball

Asheville, N.C.- Only 14 days remain until Bulldog volleyball officially begins the 2016 season with a game against the University of Georgia on August 26 at 7:00 p.m. To prepare for the upcoming season, meet Big South Preseason All-Conference selection, #14 Madison Vaughn.
Vaughn is a 6'3 senior from Statesville, N.C. Last season, Vaughn started in all 27 matches, and played in 99 sets. She led the team in blocks with 105, averaging 1.05 blocks per set. She was third on the team in kills with 182, (1.84 per set). She was also third for the Bulldogs in service aces, recording 20 aces on 305 attempts in 2015. Vaughn will be one of two seniors on the 2016 squad.

The awesome crowds we have at home volleyball games. And also the small class sizes.
What are your post-school plans?
Physical Therapy School
Why did you choose Asheville?
My teammates and coaches are awesome here. The mountains and city are beautiful and there is lots of great food.
How long have you been playing volleyball?
Since 4th grade
Who has been your biggest influence on the field?
My teammates. I always want to do my best for them, so that my efforts make their jobs on the court easier.
What are three things you can't live without?
Cell phone, bible, and coffee

Getting the opportunity to accomplish great things with a group of very talented teammates and coaches.

I rode horses a lot in middle school.
