LYNCHBURG– After two days of competition, the men are in eighth place with six points, while the women are in eighth place with 11 points. Liberty leads in both the men's and women's competitions with 76 points (men) and 112.5 points (women).
NOTABLES
Qualifiers for Thursday's Finals
-Kaylie Nichols posted a time of 14.47 in the women's 100m hurdles to qualify for Thursday's final as the seven seed.
-In the women's 800m, Alyssa Lashway posted a personal best time of 2:13.57 to qualify for Thursday's final.
-In the men's 800m, senior Andy Thornburg qualified for finals with a time of 1:54.23. Thornburg will enter Thurday's final seeded fourth.
-Argia Gibson qualified for finals in the women's 100m dash with a time of 12.29
Wednesday's Finalists
-In the women's 400m dash, Anna Gelbach finished 10th overall with a time of 59.35.
-In the men's 400m, Kimani Anderson placed 15th overall with a time of 50.54.
-Scarlett Beamon placed 10th in the women's 3,000m steeplechase with a personal best time of 11:44.27. Her time also earns her second place on Asheville's All-Time list in the event.
-Nathan Kiirse placed ninth in the men's 3,000m Steeple with a time of 10:27.00.
