Chipotle Marshall Invitational
Location: Marshall University/ Huntington, W.V.
HUNTINGTON – The UNC Asheville Men's and Women's track and field teams finished their final day of competition at the Chipotle Marshall Invitational.
NOTABLES
- In the first day of competition, Chris McKoy captured second place in the men's Long Jump with a mark of 6.40 meters.
- Sophomore, Joe McNamara recorded a personal best 7.21 in the 60 meter dash that earned him fourth place in the field and six points for Asheville.
-Freshman, Camden Coble finished second in the men's High Jump with a height of 1.95 meters.
-Argia Gibson placed ninth in the women's Long Jump with a season-best mark of 5.39 meters. Gibson is also ranked ninth in the Big South Conference standings after this weekend's competitions.
-Hunter Koike recorded a new season best in the men's 60 meter hurdles of 8.89. In the Men's Indoor Heptathlon, this time would earn Koike 770 points towards his final score. This is a 55-point improvement on Koike's previous Heptathlon 60m Hurdles time of 9.14 (715 points).
-Kayli Nichols placed fourth in the women's 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.20. Nichols also placed seventh in the 400 meter dash with a time of 58.27. Her time moves her to number three on Asheville's all-time list.
-Dominic Collichio improved to fourth on Asheville's all-time list in the men's 3,000 meter run with a time of 8:35.01. Collichio's time placed him eighth out of 28 runners.
UP NEXT
-Following this weekend's competition, the Bulldogs will travel to Blacksburg, Virginia to compete in the Big South Championships on February 26-27 at Virginia Tech.
