12.16.2016 | General

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The pursuit for UNC Asheville student-athletes is about so many things, but the biggest of all is earning their degree.

The core mission of UNC Asheville athletics is for its student-athletes to be not only champions in athletics, but also leaders in life, and six Bulldog student-athletes completely took advantage of their opportunity to thrive in their athletic and academic endeavors by officially graduating from the University on Friday, Dec. 16.

The six student-athletes represented five different sports during the Commencement ceremonies held at Kimmel Arena.

UNC Asheville Director of Athletics Janet R. Cone could not be prouder of the six graduating Bulldog student-athletes.

"By earning their degrees from UNC Asheville, these Bulldog student-athletes are winning the most important championship," Cone said. "Speaking for the entire department, I want to congratulate them and wish them much future success."
