UNC Asheville Student-Athletes Take Part in Undergraduate Research Presentations

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville is well known for building not only champions in athletics, but also leaders in life.Â
One of the latest ways that the Asheville student-athletes utilized their ability to maximize their college experience was through undergraduate research presentations that were delivered on Tuesday, Dec. 6.Â
In total, 15 Asheville student-athletes were among the approximately 300 undergraduate research presentations given on the day.Â
Through self-directed or designed academic work in partnership with faculty these student-athletes experienced a variety of research, scholarly and creative opportunities.
The areas of the student-athlete research presented included Art, Astronomy, Athletics, Biology, Communication, Website effectiveness, Health & Wellness, Literature, Neuroscience, Racial Barriers and Sustainability. Additional student-athletes served as research subjects for additional research programs.
