NOTABLES
Last Time Out: The Bulldogs lost a tough match in four sets on Saturday to Campbell. After dropping the first two sets, 25-22 and 25-21, Asheville rallied to win the third set, 25-23, but the Camels took set four, also by 25-23. Madison Vaughn had 14 kills to lead the Bulldogs and Cara Guthrie had 3 service aces.
Big South Standings: With just two games remaining before the Big South Championship Tournament, the Bulldogs need a win to protect their position as sixth seed. UNC Asheville is one game ahead of Winthrop, which has games remaining against Presbyterian (2-11) and Gardner-Webb (3-10).
On Presbyterian: The Blue Hose return home after consecutive road losses to three of the Big South's top teams. In Saturday's losing effort at Radford, the Blue Hose were led by Sierra Davis with 13 kills and Mikayla Register with 17 digs.
The Rematch: The Bulldogs and Blue Hose faced each other in a five-set thriller last month in the Justice Center and the teams essentially played two different matches that day – Presbyterian thoroughly dominated the first two sets, but Asheville came roaring back to take the final three sets decisively. Senior Shelby Erickson led the Bulldogs with 17 kills and 21 digs for the match.
