Vaughn and Guthrie Earn Big South All Conference Honors

CHARLOTTE, N.C.--Two players on the UNC Asheville women's volleyball team were honored by the Big South Conference today, Wednesday Nov. 16, for both performances on the field and in the classroom, earlier today by the conference office.

Madison Vaughn was voted to the Big South Second Team All-Conference and All-Academic Team. Cara Guthrie earned an Honorable Mention All-Conference.

Vaughn, a senior middle blocker, played 104 games with 245 for total attempts this season. She had 245 kills, 9 assists, and 13 service aces.

Guthrie, a sophomore outside hitter, has played 101 games with 7951 total attempts this season. She had 321 kills, 16 assists this season, and 37 service aces.

The women's volleyball team will travel to Lynchburg, Va to compete against High Point University in the Quarterfinals of the Big South Conference Tournament at 7 p.m., Friday, November 18.
