Asheville Heads to Boiling Springs for Battle of the Bulldogs Tuesday

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's volleyball team will make the short trip down the mountain for a Tuesday night Battle of the Bulldogs with Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, N.C. at 7 p.m.

NOTABLES

Bulldogs in the Big South: Senior Madison Vaughn is second overall in the Big South Conference in hitting percentage with 127 kills on 288 attempts (.316). While sophomore Cara Guthrie is second in service aces (21) and third in total kills (145).

Last Time Out: The Bulldogs are coming off of a tough weekend at home dropping a five-set match to Liberty on Friday night and a four-set match to Radford on Saturday.

Scouting Gardner-Webb: The Runnin' Bulldogs of Gardner-Webb are currently 1-2 in League play, with losses to Charleston Southern University and Presbyterian College. GWU's only conference loss was a 3-0 sweep over the Eagles of Winthrop University in Rock Hill, S.C.
