ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville will host the Winthrop Eagles Saturday, October 22 at Greenwood Field beginning at 6:30 p.m. in what will be the Bulldogs' homecoming.
NOTABLES:
Last Time Out: The Bulldogs lost their second Big South Conference match at High Point 7-0 last Saturday. Asheville was outshot 25-7 in this loss.
Scouting Winthrop: The Eagles are also entering the matchup off of a loss to High Point, a 2-1 double overtime defeat. Although Winthrop is winless in the conference, the Eagles have found success away from home this season, earning two of their victories on the road (another on neutral grounds).
Homecoming: Homecoming festivities will take place all day Saturday on campus. There will be a pregame tailgate in the parking lot near Zeis Hall. Homecoming king and queen will be crowned at halftime. The spirit competition winner will also be recognized.
